The EU Fertilizing product regulation (EC) No 2019/1009, opens the European market for recycled fertilisers; and also for organic fertilisers, biostimulants, composts and digestate, which to date could only be sold under different national legislations.
The new Regulation provides strict rules on safety, quality and labelling requirements for all fertilisers to be traded freely across the EU. Producers will need to demonstrate that their products meet those requirements before affixing the CE mark.
This Regulation does not apply to products which are not CE marked when made available on the market.
